Forget I said anything...

Remember that time I said, "I never get flowers" ?

Needless to say, I stand corrected.

I'm going to let you go now.....

I'll admit it.

Sometimes I talk on the phone with my boyfriend about absolutely nothing.

I'll talk about what I ate, what I didn't eat, what I'd like to have eaten. 

When this happens I sometimes get the, 'I'm gonna let you go now...'  phrase.

Also known as the, 'You're driving me crazy, and I need to get off the phone with you asap' phrase.

But more often than not, he patiently listens to me talk about my day, feigning interest, and asking questions..

And for that I am thankful.

Who else would listen to me talk about croissants all day?

On New Years Eve....

Whether you were listening to a DJ at a club, or Ryan Seacrest on TV...

Whether you were on the dance floor, or in bed...

Whether you were toasting with champagne, or 7up...

Whether you were dressed up, or dressed down ...

Whoever you were listening to..
Wherever you were..
Whatever you were wearing ..
I hope it was with someone special...

Because it is honestly what makes New Years day (or any day) amazing.

Ghost of Christmas Past....

Five years ago today, my boyfriend and I went on our first date. He took me to the Playhouse to go see Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol .  I can still remember him trying to convince me to go,

"I'm buying the tickets either way" he said confidently,

" And I want you come, but I'm going whether you're with me or not.."  he added.

And of course I went,  even though I'm pretty sure I didn't confirm until the day of the show (we're both pretty stubborn). I've been to countless plays and shows since then..

But to this day A Christmas Carol is still the best play I have ever been to,

I'd like to think it was because of the company...
